The old wives tale of “ lazy mums carry babies in front” is such a large bucket of fallacious dung.
African women happen to be the strongest women in the world , and I mean that with no offence or favoritism. But this is not because they are able to carry their babies at the back and do work, it is simply because they are able to hold up a smile even with their backs bent and breaking under the weight of humiliation (shout out to my African mums)
Carrying your baby In the front helps bonding, it gives the baby the “womb feeling” which she enjoyed for a period of nine months and probably misses, and in this age of “soft touch everything”, who needs to bend down all the time though. But then if u must, please send baby to the back. I like to think of the baby at the back as a fast learner, watching her mother’s every step.
You can be a bonding mum, still being a working mum.
