Who doesn’t like the feeling of independence? Your baby doesn’t want to be fed all the time; you know this by the war she wages once she sees a spoon approaching her territory. It is not to get hung up by the fact that your baby rejects food, it is to figure out what the matter is. Try keeping the food in front of her if then she reaches for it, aha!!! There it is, the babe wants to help herself.
What you want to do now is to change from liquid or semi-liquid food to soft solids. Sweet and soft potatoes, soft carrots, soft slices of bananas. Make them into finger foods and serve the queen or (king).
Of course babies usually start throwing these tantrums at about eight months and by this time; they are ready to leave the liquids.
Teething can also be a contributor , cramping your baby’s feeding style , but that is nothing to worry about either, your baby must grow teeth now, right?
Be very sensitive to what your baby is not saying, not every reaction needs medical attention or spiritual intervention, they simply just need motherly (or fatherly) attention.
