africanah-2Africans live on proverbs. There is a proverb for everything and every situation.

They are said to be wise words from the gray haired, and truth be told, sometimes difficult to relate with.

Here are some for the expectant moms

#1 A baby who is always carried will never learn to walk.

#2 A pregnant woman with triplet cannot ask for a third breast.

#3 Pregnancy cannot be covered with the hand

#4 you cannot abort a baby that is already born (my personal fav)

#5 Rather than an aversion  of her viciousness, a witch gives birth to only female children and her witchcraft                       multiplies (I honestly don’t get this , but if you do , drop the meaning In comment box. Thanks),

#6 The unborn baby that fears criticism will never be born

#7 Better give birth to sweating baby than a crying one.

#8 you cannot hear a baby cry in his mother’s womb

#9 if a baby crawls to you and pinches you, get on your knees and pinch him back.

#10 A baby on the mother’s back does not know the journey is long.

#11 A woman who gives birth in the market square has nothing to hide.

#12 A baby is like an angel whose wings decrease as his legs increase.

#13 Patience is the mother of a beautiful child.

#14 He who takes the child by the hand, takes the mother by the heart.

#15 A child who says his mother will not sleep, will also not sleep.

#16 You cannot tell a hungry child that you gave him food yesterday(LOL)

#17 An ugly child of your own is more to you than a beautiful child of your neighbor.

#18 The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.

#19 It takes the whole village to raise a child.

#20 What an elder sees sitting down, a child cannot see whilst standing from a tall tree.
