There’s been a lot of talk about the strain we’re putting on our children this week as they take their SATs exams.
A maths question aimed at seven-year-olds found fame when it had parents scratching their heads .
But if your kids think laterally, like this young man, they shouldn’t have a problem…
He found a way to ‘cheat’ the test without breaking any rules at all – and it’s truly a stroke of genius.
The image, posted to Imgur by the boy’s relative, shows how he responded when asked to write down numbers with a certain digit in different places.
Probably a bit confused about the answer, he decided to hedge his bets – by putting the digit in EVERY place, thereby ensuring that he definitely got the answer correct.
He’s not wrong. And he should definitely get full marks for the thinking behind his method.
Someone give the boy a gold star.
