We love how adorable and cute twins are, but this wears off when it comes to taking care of them. It is enough trouble caring for one baby talk more of two. Here are a few tips to help you manage your bundles of joy…
- Create a routine:
This is a 24 hour job. If you don’t have a structured schedule or plan you would barely have time for yourself and other members of your family. Stick to a plan, it might not be rigid but at least it would shape your day and give you a sense of what you should be doing and at what time.
Yes your breasts would get sore. Yes, it would be hard to feed two hungry infants. But there are ways. You could latch both on your breasts at the same time.
You could also try bottle – feeding both together. Place them in their baby rockers in an inclined position and hold the bottles to their mouths.
You can breastfeed one, place the other on a pillow and bottle feed it. Its all about what works for you.
You do not need to buy separate cribs for twins. Twins can comfortably sleep together. Ths woyld enable them bond and settle into themselves.
This could go on until they grow big and there isn’t enough space for two.
- Waking each other:
Babies won’t wake each other up if they get used to each other’s sounds and body movements. I f one of them wakes, don’t get him out of the crib to stop him from waking the other. They would get used to their sibling’s noises so they don’t notice it.
5: Spoon feeding:
This feeding trick saves a lot of energy and confusion. Feed both from the same bowl and with one spoon all at the same time. Alternatively feed both them.
Always feed the duo the same kinds of food. Eventually they would learn to love the same variety of foods.
Always remember that:
They would learn to share everything with each other at an early stage. Also, they would work together as a team, especially in wreaking havoc. Be sure your house is baby proof and safe. Always keep an eye on the two
