Many couples are having trouble conceiving a baby due to the fast way of life, unhealthy diet and stress. In this article you can find some effective tips which can help boost your chances of conceiving. These tips are recommended by renowned fertility experts.

  1. Eat Healthy

Healthy diet is of vital importance for healthy reproductive system. Therefore, if you are trying to conceive, you should make the following changes in your diet:

  • Avoid acidic foods since they raise the acidity in the cervical mucus and destroy sperm. The most common acidic foods are tea and red meat.
  • Consume more alkaline foods such as milk, peas and bean sprouts since they increase the chances of getting pregnant.
  1. Use Supplements
  • Take multi-vitamin supplements if you are trying to conceive.
  • Use them regularly since they will supply your body with essential nutrients.
  1. Visit Your Doctor
  • It is recommended that you consult your doctor before trying to conceive to check whether you have any medical issues.
  • You should also consult your doctor in case you use any medications.
  1. Have Intercourse Regularly
  • Regular intercourse is of vital importance for those who want to conceive.
  • Also, you should regularly monitor your ovulation if you are planning pregnancy.
  • Have fun and enjoy
  1. Inform Yourself on Different Sexual Positions
  • Many people believe that certain sexual position can increase the chance of getting pregnant.
  • The missionary position is the most commonly used position by people who are trying to conceive.
  • However, you should also try other positions because the sexual positions are still not thoroughly researched by science.
  1. Timing is essential
  • This is one of the most important factors when it comes to conceiving because if you don`t plan your intercourse according to the biological processes, you may miss the chance of getting pregnant.
  • Check your basal temperature with thermometer because it is one of the most effective methods of conceiving.
  • During ovulation, the temperature is slightly increased which means that the chances of getting pregnant are high.
  • Also, you should keep a menstrual cycle chart.
  1. Ease Up the Process
  • Typically, the vagina is a non-friendly sperm environment and therefore many couples have troubles in conceiving.
  • Therefore, you will need to create better vaginal conditions for the sperm.
  • In this case, you should avoid fragrant tampons, douches, and vaginal sprays which make the vagina less friendly to sperm.
  • Avoid using synthetic lubricants. If you still want to use them, consult your doctor about the best options that won`t damage the sperm.

  1. Stop smoking, drinking alcohol and coffee, and avoid illegal medications
  • According to numerous studies, caffeine negatively affects the chances of conceiving in women, and the sperm mobility and count in men.
  • Avoid consuming caffeinated drinks and foods such as black tea, chocolate and coffee.
  • Avoid cigarettes, alcohol and any illegal medications since all these factors increase the risk of miscarriage and genetic abnormalities.
  1. Control your body weight and exercise in moderation
  • Women who exercise regularly have greater chance of getting pregnant and are more fertile
  • Exercise keeps the hormones under control and helps you burn excessive fat.
  • Generally, overweight women have increased estrogen levels so their ovulation may be rarer and irregular.
  • On the other hand, too much exercise can also lead to infertility and hormonal imbalance. Therefore, moderation is the key.
  1. Have fun and Enjoy
  • If you are relaxed and dedicated to the act of making love, you will have higher chances of getting pregnant.
  • Too much stress can cause irregular menstrual cycles and prevent ovulation.
  • Irregular cycle will complicate the timing.

      Proteins helps too,
      Be in folic supplements too.
To people with PCOS, gluten food causes inflammation, which lead to misreadings by hormones.

I know several couples who struggle to conceive, and mostly its assumed its a womans fault, onlw to find its a man who has challenges. Consult fertility specialists too, both of you to find out the exact cause of not conceiving.

By the time we were advised to schedule for our ICSI procedure, we had all investigation results with us.

      Good luck and God bless.

You mean taking alcohol before one gets pregnant may still cause a miscarriage even after one stops drinking after knowing they are pregnant?
