Hemorrhoids are a very common medical problem and one that’s quite painful and uncomfortable as well. They represent enlarged and inflamed vessels located in or around the anus in the lower rectum and have gotten really common due to a number of reasons. Firstly, we lead a very sedentary life, our diet often lacks the necessary amount of fibers and the fast living pace doesn’t allow for much time for exercise, all of which can lead to chronic constipation and eventually hemorrhoids.

One of the most common symptoms is the feeling of discomfort and pain around the anal area, accompanied with itching, tingling and bleeding. These signs should never be ignored because they can lead to complications if left untreated.

Here are some very effective natural remedies which can ease the pain and discomfort and cure hemorrhoids fast and easy:

Garlic – take a few garlic cloves, grind them and mix them with some coconut or olive oil and freeze the mixture. Apply the frozen mixture on the hemorrhoids. It may feel a bit uncomfortable but it will alleviate the pain and treat the condition effectively.

Reverse often your underwear – always wear clean underwear made of 100% cotton so that your skin can breathe. Reverse the underwear a few times a day and always carry a clean pair with you if your hemorrhoids start bleeding. The underwear should be comfortable and soft so that it won’t irritate the hemorrhoids and cause further discomfort.

Cold baths – the pain and itching can be alleviated with frequent cold baths which are especially effective for external hemorrhoids. Fill up the tub and add some sea salt. Soak for 15 minutes. Or you could apply cold compresses directly on the anal area and instantly reduce the swelling and discomfort.

Additional tips:

    • Eat more fiber rich foods
    • Consume plenty of water to stay hydrated
    • Be more physically active
