Miscalculating Many women forget to account for the first day of their menstrual cycle. You can use ovulation prediction kits or chart your basal body temperature to get a better idea of your menstrual cycles.

1. Wait for Another Test

    I have PCOS and when my periods are irregular the Dr prescribes me a round of Provera to force a period, and keeps them pretty regular for a few months.

    I thought i was pregnant when i missed my period for 2 months. And come to find out the birth control i was on for 3 years caused my periods to always be irregular. Its kindve annoying but im glad i know that now.
