A BBC presenter gave birth after reading the news on live TV – with a fellow newsreader as her BIRTHING PARTNER.
Victoria Fritz, who reads the business news on BBC Breakfast, talked about easyJet’s latest figures on the show yesterday morning.
But shortly afterwards the brunette newsreader went into labour – and because her husband, Dan, was stuck in traffic on the M6, co-presenter Sally Nugent was her birthing partner.
Victoria gave birth to a baby boy, who is yet to be named, at St Mary’s Hospital.
The new mum tweeted that the delivery was a BBC Breakfast team effort.
She wrote: “My heartfelt thanks to @sallynugent & St Mary’s drs&midwives who helped me deliver my little boy yesterday. A @BBCBreakfast team effort! (sic)”
She married husband Dan in July 2015 at Villa La Force in the Val d’Orcia, Tuscany, before moving on to a reception at La Bandita.
Victoria stunned in a strapless white gown on her big day, while her man looked very dapper in a cream suit and black bow tie.
In a message to Italian wedding photographer Jules Bower, Victoria and Dan wrote: “We cannot wait to receive the discs and spend our first evenings together as a married couple reliving the moments you captured so beautifully.”

Sally Nugent tweeted: “It’s going to make a brilliant story for his 21st birthday ! What an incredible day xx”
Speaking on BBC Breakfast on Wednesday, newsreader Naga Munchetty explained why another presenter, Sean Farrington, was reading the business news.

She joked that Victoria had “decided to be even more productive that she is in the workplace”.
Naga said: “There she was, you know, just presenting very happily, not an issue in the world. And then she decided to have a bit of an event later on.”
Co-presenter Dan Walker added: “Sally was reading our sport yesterday. Because Victoria’s partner was stuck on the M6, Sally was the birthing partner.”

He also tweeted: “If you’re wondering why @seanfarrington is a late sub today… huge CONGRATULATIONS to @VFritzNews ItsABoy.”
The presenters joked that the new arrival could be named easyJet or Sean.
