I find it pretty ironic that you’ll never really know what to expect when you’re expecting, especially when it comes to your body and its functions. Our skin is forever changing and our regular skin care may suddenly cause reactions that we never expected.

Here are 5 easy all natural masks that you can make for yourself at home to beat that and keep your skin feeling fresh and glowing from within.

Fresh Banana Fruit Mask for Oily Skin

MAKCHICMASK1

Things you’ll need:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Mash your ripe banana and add a tablespoon of honey and lemon juice and mix it well. Then, apply the mixture on your face and neck and allow it to dry. After it has dried, wash your face with warm water and you’re good to go.

You can also add orange or any kind of citrus fruit extracts since they are rich in acids that cut down oil from sebaceous glands.

Nourishing Creamy Avocado Face Mask

MAKCHICMASK2

Things you’ll need:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tsp yoghurt
  • Lemon juice

Avocado are extremely rich in potassium and this  face mask will help nourishes the skin and helps maintain its glow and health. Mash your ripe avocado and mix well with a teaspoon of yoghurt and few drops of lemon juice. Apply the mixture all over face and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. If made in larger quantities, you can store your excess mask in an air tight jar.

Cleansing Cucumber & Watermelon Fruit Face Mask

MAKCHICMASK3

Things you’ll need:

  • 2 tbsp cucumber juice
  • 2 tbsp watermelon juice
  • 1 tsp yogurt
  • 1 tsp milk powder

Mix all the ingredients together and apply on your face. Leave the mask on for about fifteen minutes before rinsing off with cold water. The watermelon helps in clearing the skin as it removes blemishes as well as acts as toner. Cucumber juice is well known for its skin lightning effect and helps to lessen redness and puffiness. Yogurt softens and tightens the skin, and milk powder act as a binding agent. Altogether, you have the perfect recipe for glowing, radiant skin!

Yoghurt & Lemon Face Mask

MAKCHICMASK4

Things you’ll need:

  • Half a cup of (plain or sour) yoghurt
  • Lemon or orange juice

Take your half a cup and add 2 drops of lemon juice or orange juice in. Apply for about 15 minutes. Wash off with luke warm water and them splash some cold water immediately to tighten pores. Gently massaging the yoghurt into your skin will help with removing dead skin cells, smoothening out fine lines, tightening your pores, hydrating dry patches, as well as giving your skin a nice glow. Don’t forget to make sure your yoghurt is plain and unsweetened!

Orange peel-milk pack

MAKCHICMASK5

Things you’ll need:

  • 1 dried orange peel
  • Milk
  • Rose water

The next time you have an orange, keep the peel and leave it out in the sun to dry. When thoroughly dried, grind the peel into an orange peel powder. Mix a spoon of orange peel powder with enough milk to make a thick paste. Apply it on your face and wait for it to dry. Rinse off with rosewater. This should give your skin a brightening boost without drying it out.
