Give your child a lukewarm bath

You have to use lukewarm water while you give your child a bath. Don’t use cold water, because it can make the child shiver and cause the body temperature to rise even more. This is an extremely useful method because the water evaporates from the skin and it will cool the body and bring the body temperature down, in that way lowering the child’s fever.

Give your child plenty of fluids and chilled food

Your child should intake lots of cold foods and drinks to help it lower the body’s temperature from the inside out. It’s extremely important to keep the child hydrated all the time.

You can use a fan

Keep the fan on low mode and adjust it just so that the air could circulate around your kid. Don’t let it blow directly on your child!

Remove layers of clothing

Remove any layers of clothing, so your child can lose the body heat more easily through skin.Dress your child more lightly. If your child is shivering, cover it with a light blanket until its warm again. The child’s fever will start to decrease very soon

Keep your child indoor in cool place

Stay inside with your child, in a cool place. If your child still goes outside, then it needs to stay in the shade.

Note: Visit a doctor immediately if your child is younger than 3 month and has a fever! Always call a doctor for a baby, 3 to 5 months old, if the baby’s temperature reaches 101 degrees or higher! If your baby is older than 6 months, then call a doctor if the baby’s temperature reaches 102 degrees or more!
