Swedish professor Uwe Ewald is trying to prove a point with this image about Neonatal care. While babies are kept in an incubator he says that skin contact with baby’s over 1.5 lbs. is very important for their survival.

He says that a parent’s chest regulates the body temperature better than an incubator so keeping the baby, like shown in the image, is hugely beneficial. The baby can then relax and pick up weight quickly. He also adds that this also reduces the risk of contraing infections in premature babies.

The Swede are hoping to make this practice known all over the world so that it can save many preemie baby lives.

This was beautiful and also very informing ! I actually didn’t know this about premature babies although myself I’ve never never experienced having a premature baby, but if ever so I would definitely take up on this technique! It also shows that love from a parent or sibling can make anything better! Thanks for the article!!
