For anyone who is a daughter or has one, this story may take you back to those days when mom would tie up or braid her little girl’s hair each morning before sending her off to school. The mother in this story has made this tradition into an art form! You’ll be amazed how she came up with such exquisitely creative and intricate braids for her daughter!

Braiding has always been a pleasant diversion for Shelley Gifford ever since she was young. “Growing up I always loved braiding, I would take any chance I could get to braid family and friends hair,” Gifford shared on BoredPanda.

At first, the lady from Melbourne, Australia, could only do French and Dutch braids, but everything changed after she stumbled across a world of braiding on social media in April, 2014. Since then, she has conscientiously mastered the techniques of various types of braids from video tutorials posted on numerous braiding Facebook and Instagram pages.

Obviously, her hard work paid off! Being a mother, she began channeling her talent through her daughter Grace’s lovely hair. Just look at Gifford’s stunning creations! What a lucky girl to have such an artistic mother!

Each morning during the week, Shelley would sit next to Grace for 15-20 minutes and turn a new braiding idea into reality

“I like trying to be creative with my braiding,” Gifford told The Epoch Times in an interview

“Sometimes it seems more like art than an everyday hairstyle which I find fun and unique and then sometimes I may just recreate a great style that I have found on the Internet from fellow braiders”

“I always try to think of a new style for the following day,” she said

“It is becoming more of a challenge to think of the next days’ hair style”
