As if growing up wasn’t hard enough meet Pamela Ichard from Lousiana. Here she is a happy teen with a normal nose. Nothing to see here right? She looks great. But over the years, a change would happen that would rock her world…

Pamela’s confidence would plummet and she would attempt to hide behind her long, red hair. This is before something terrible started to happen to her face that she could not control on her own. She would eventually find her way on the show “The Doctors” to investigate what happened and how to control it…

Pamela spent decades with an advanced form of rosacea that started when she was a teen. But that wasn’t all of it. As Pamela went through adolescence, she developed heavy acne and the quality of Pamela’s skin began to degrade at an alarming rate…

“Puberty set in, acne set in — it got to be really bad. The bumps became purple, and red, sometimes tissue would come out of it,” she explained in an appearance on the television show The Doctors.

After having her second child, Pamela began to notice her nose shifting into a shape she did not realize and was confused at what could possibly be happening…

Since that day, her nose growth continued to enlarge and it has never stopped. “From that point on, my nose continued to swell up,” she said on the show she would later consult, The Doctors.

While it is a normal part of the aging process to have one’s ears as well as nose slowly enlarge, the rate at which Pamela’s nose was growing was very alarming. She sought out medical advice to tackle whatever was going on with her face…

It wouldn’t be until thirty years later until she found the help she needed for the rare condition. Thankfully a team of talented doctors was able to spot the issue right away, leading to the next chapter in Pamela’s life…

Finally, the cause of her case was known: she was suffering from an advanced form of rosacea called rhinophyma. The cause of this condition is still unknown, but it commonly develops after rosacea begins on the face between the ages of 25 and 50.

“The doctor would prescribe me different types of medicine, but nothing worked,” she explained on the show The Doctors. This was very frustrating as Pamela so desperately wanted to move on in her life but felt held back by the growth…

The condition has had an enormous effect on Pamela’s quality of life and stopped her from pursuing many different paths…”It has stopped me from leaving the house. I had anxiety for a long time.”

Pamela found the show The Doctors because she was ready for a change. She was tired of hiding behind her long hair and ready to face the public and proudly. Pamela made her case…

“There’s gotta be a cure for this, there’s just gotta be. I just wanted to look normal,” she desperately explained on the show. Pamela struggled like many other who have the condition…

Unlike many others, Pamela was lucky to appear in a 2016 episode of The Doctors. She described at length her experience growing up with the growth and how it affected everything in her life. The condition also affects men and if not treated, can only spread…

After Pamela was interviewed about her rare case of rhinophyma, she was then offered a completely free surgery by Dr. Ann Zedlitz to correct the growth and Pamela just about fell over when she heard the news. The surgery is very expensive for most..

To do away with the growths, laser and other surgical procedures need be used to change the nose’s shape. Pamela felt fortunate to be offered a completely free surgery. But what if you cannot afford to make a change?

Finding what works best for you is the most important step in building one’s confidence. Pamela encourages other with the condition to be confident no matter what they decide…

Having such a growth can be overwhelming to one’s outlook on life and everyone approaches how they deal with the condition differently. The Doctors addressed those struggling with the condition on the show…

Dr. Ann Zedlitz message to those suffering from rhinophyma?

Dr. Zedlitz really wanted others to know that if they too suffer from this condition, treatment options are available.

Remarkably, she was able to transform Pamela’s nose in just three months! And as you can see the transformations are astounding!

It’s also never too late to have corrective surgery and if you are interested in knowing more, consult your doctor…

Before the procedure, Pamela felt excited and was prepping for the next big step in her life! She was ready to take on anything…

So what does Pamela look like now? Hold on to your seats because what you are about to see will rock your world! Pamela looks COMPLETELY different!

WOW. Can you believe it? That this is the same Pamela?! She looks AMAZING. “I no longer hide behind my hair,” Pamela gushed. Girl, with that face! Of course not..

I can barely recognize her, the transformation is absolutely STUNNING. When asked how she feels now, she said, “I’m excited about the new me.”

As we are seeing from above, the process really demonstrates Dr. Zedlitz talents as well as how much was actually removed from Pamela’s nose…

It’s hard for those not with the condition to realize what life would be like with such a debilitating feature but Pamela was strong and brave enough to live through it and now she can finally be free from the anxiety that plagued her growing up…

Pamela is not only gorgeous but strong too. Her condition has made her part of who she is and for that she is proud…

Pamela was so very thankful to Dr. Zedlitz and will forever remember such a life changing gift. You go Dr. Zedlitz!
