Last year, Brittany Perille Yobe’s Instagram account was suspended after she posted an exercise tutorial with her pregnant stomach on show.

The seemingly innocuous move saw her account disabled for “breaching guidelines” – something Brittany appealed.

Known for her killer body, her bum in particular, Brittany has garnered an impressive one million followers on Instagram – and a cult-like following.

For someone who makes a living from the social media site, having your account disabled can be highly detrimental.

During that time, the hot American lost traffic to her website and sales of her fitness guide went down.

Thankfully it was all sorted, but how did Brittany rack up such an impressive following in the first place?

Speaking to the Daily Star Online, the 28-year-old said: “I built up my Instagram following by posting workout videos of all the exercises I do on a weekly basis.

“I started noticing other accounts took a liking to my videos and started reposting them on their own accounts. This is when my account started to really take off.

“I feel privileged to be able to personally help thousands of women reach their fitness goals.”

Brittany, a certified personal trainer, has used her following as a business venture – offering three glute guides, a home exercise guide, a gym-based guide and she also offers a restore your core and pelvic floor guide for post-partum women who have a weak core or diastasis recti.

The new mum said: “I have always love exercising and challenging myself in the gym. After seeing how much I could accomplish with my own physique, I wanted to start helping others.”

Brittany’s exercise routine consists of intense weight training six to seven days per week and HIIT (high intensity interval training) cardio three to four days.

A regular day for Brittany would include weight training in the morning, home to shower, eat lunch, run errands, afternoon HIIT session, dinner and bed.

As for diet, Brittany will begin her day with a protein bar and coffee and a protein shake immediately after the gym.

A banana for her morning snack, followed by chicken, brown rice and veggies for lunch, rice cakes with peanut butter for an afternoon snack, chicken or fish with brown rice or potato and veggies for dinner and yoghurt before bed.

For anyone wanting to begin their own fitness journey, Brittany suggested finding a meal and exercise plan you can stick to.

She advised: “Find an image of a body that is as close to your physique goals as possible and paste it up in a place that you will see everyday.

“The more you can visualise your goals the better. Then I suggest getting on a meal plan that you can follow everyday. The next step is either to look for a personal trainer or follow an online training program that caters to your specific goals.”
