A newborn baby necessitates the parents’ constant care and attention at all times of the day and night. While most parents are aware of this and carry out their responsibilities, some are blinded by their own desires. A Russian couple shocked the globe by abandoning their 16-week-old twins at home for days without supervision in order to party.

According to the Daily Mail, Margarita Yanayeva, 23, and her spouse, 35-year-old Alexey, left their baby daughter and boy at home for four days without having anyone look after them. The Vilyuchinsk couple informed their acquaintances that their children were in the hospital and receiving coronavirus treatment. They went ahead and partied, unafraid of their lies. The event was discovered after the twins’ grandma attempted to contact the couple.

The grandma tried multiple times to contact the couple, but her attempts were in vain. The grandmother became concerned when she learned that their place was under lockdown. She then contacted the authorities. The babies were reportedly trapped in the flat by the mother and her partner, Alexey, when the cops arrived.

According to the Daily Mail, “during the period of four days they did not feed the youngsters and did not provide alternative care for them.” According to an inquiry source, the youngsters were “subjected to hunger, did not ensure hygiene, putting the children in a socially unsafe situation.” The children were subsequently taken to a hospital in Russia’s Kamchatka area by the cops.

According to the Mirror, the grandmother discovered the twins in a “gravely malnourished” state. The young boy died after going into a coma, according to the report. Meanwhile, the baby girl remains in critical condition and is struggling for her life.

The reckless couple is facing criminal accusations for abandoning their children and failing to fulfill their parental duties. They’ve also been accused of endangering their children’s life. The pair could face up to 20 years in prison if they are found guilty of their child’s death.

While you may believe this is a one-of-a-kind situation, there have been countless stories in the past about careless parents. Anthony Jose Archibeque-Martinez, 23, and Elizabeth Archibeque-Martinez, 26, from Arizona, kept their two children, ages six and seven, in their closet for a month without food.

The 6-year-old was discovered dead after authorities received a call about an unresponsive youngster. He was emaciated and exhibited no symptoms of trauma when he was discovered. Despite the fact that the cops attempted to save his life, it was too late.

The parents were then questioned by the police about the incident. They said that the youngsters were punished by being locked in the closet. According to Arizona Central, “kids were stealing food by sneaking out at night when the parents slept.”

The parents also decided that at times they would not feed their children. Their harshness toward their children was also shown to be endorsed by their grandma. Ann Marie Martinez, a 50-year-old grandmother, did not object to the procedure. Instead, she sided with the parents, contributing to the innocent boy’s murder.

Following an investigation, the couple, as well as the grandmother, were arrested and charged with first-degree felony homicide. They are also facing charges of child abuse. Other children were also born to the couple. After the arrests, the Arizona Department of Child Safety took the 7, 4, and 2-year-olds into protective custody.

Parents have even been known to give alcohol to their newborns in order to attend parties. Nadezhda Yarych, the mother of 8-month-old Zakhar, is said to have given her children alcohol to keep him from being a hindrance. According to the Daily Mail, the child eventually died.
